Mini-Course Pt3 – Power BI Goals – Use Power Automate to Create Teams Message When Check-Ins Added

In this video you'll learn how to use Power Automate to automatically post the contents of a Power BI Goal Check-in to a Teams chat message.

We'll use the 'When someone adds or edits a goal check-in' trigger in Power Automate to trigger the flow. We'll then get the Power BI Goal information so we have any of the field values in the Goal available to us.

Finally, we'll construct a custom dynamic message, including the Goal notes information and current and target values then post it to a Teams channel chat. It's an example of how a manager or stakeholder can automatically keep up-to-date with the latest Goal check-ins, without having to open up Power BI Goals and manually check for updates.
